New Addiction: Digital Scrapbooking

During general conference I was playing around on the computer with a few things I had seen and had discovered something that I think I am going to love....Digital Scrapbooking. I have dabbled in it a little, but didn't have time to do much, but then I discover this way. I already love photoshop, and this is just one more thing to use it for. It was so nice to be able to do a page and when the kids came around, all I had to do was just shut my computer, and not clean up a bunch of paper, ribbon etc. So much easier and cheaper!! I would love any tips for all you pros out there.

I have had a few friends switch over to digital. It looks great. I just have too much invested in supplies to switch yet. Good job getting pages done!!

Yes, isn't it great! If you're willing to put a little bit of investment into it, check out www.joyarchives.com. Heritage Makers is a digital storybooking /scrapbooking company that lets you create and publish your own books. I love the books I've done so far. I still like the traditional scrapbooks, but digital scrapbooking is so much more convenient when you have little kids around or if you don't have a "scrapbooking room" where you can leave all your stuff out. There are also some companies that will publish your blog. I haven't looked into that yet, but I heard you can do it on www.blurb.com. Anyway, it's a good addiction to have - wonderful way to preserve memories and family history.

I haven't had time to do digital scrapbooking in a while, but I swear by it. You can find all sorts of amazing kits and elements for FREE, and there are affordable printers online who will print the pages you sent to them (in digital format) and ship them all to you. If you look for and find the right sites, you can actually make it a very affordable hobby! I'm glad you're enjoying it!

Never tried it but I am sure I would like it-I finally gave up on scrapbooking a few years ago and dream of doing it again but don't forsee it anytime soon. I did however get my pictures all developed and in photo books. I do love what you have done though it looks great and really professional.
